Vinca Deluxe Phinisi
Komodo group boat charter: who sleeps where, and what each person pays
Updated 10 October 2026
A group of friends on Vinca Deluxe Phinisi pays by guest band, not by cabin: 3D2N costs IDR 105,000,000 (≈ USD 6,442) for six to ten guests and IDR 110,000,000 (≈ USD 6,748) for eleven to fourteen. Above fourteen, each guest adds IDR 5,000,000 (≈ USD 307), up to 18. Everyone eats at one long table.
The rooming puzzle comes first
Before anyone argues about the itinerary, solve the beds. The boat has 6 cabins in three styles. The Japanese and Western rooms are doubles, each able to take one extra bed. The Balinese rooms hold a double and a single for three, with an extra bed for a fourth person. No room has two separate full-size beds, so friends who want twin beds get one Balinese single per room, at best.
Fourteen is where the price bands stop, and it is the number that sleeps comfortably. Above that, guests sleep on extra beds in rooms built for two or three. If your group is fifteen to eighteen, count heads against beds before promising a place to anyone.
Decide the bed order early. The upper Japanese rooms have balconies and the most motion. The lower Balinese rooms have portholes, the least motion and the most engine noise. Rooms are not equal, and a group that treats them as equal ends up with one unhappy pair.
| Cabin | Rooms | Beds | Sleeps | with extra bed |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Japanese Room | 2 | 1 double + extra bed option | 4 | 6 |
| Western Room | 2 | 1 double + extra bed option | 4 | 6 |
| Balinese Room | 2 | 1 double + 1 single + extra bed option | 6 | 8 |
| Berths in total | 6 | 14 | 18 |
Extra beds add up to 20; the vessel's licensed maximum is 18 guests.
What each person pays
Whole-boat pricing is simpler to split than a cabin list. For 3D2N, up to five guests pay IDR 100,000,000 (≈ USD 6,135), six to ten pay IDR 105,000,000 (≈ USD 6,442), and eleven to fourteen pay IDR 110,000,000 (≈ USD 6,748). Per head, that works out at IDR 10,500,000 (≈ USD 644) at ten guests, IDR 7,860,000 (≈ USD 482) at fourteen and IDR 7,220,000 (≈ USD 443) at eighteen.
The extra guests above fourteen cost IDR 5,000,000 (≈ USD 307) each on the 3D2N route. That is why the per-person price falls as the group fills. It also means a group of fifteen pays the fourteen-guest band plus one extra guest, not a new band.
What each person adds on top: national park fees at IDR 250,000 per international guest per day, flights, hotel nights in Labuan Bajo, alcohol (bring your own) and tips for the crew. Weekend rates for domestic guests are IDR 75,000, against IDR 50,000 on weekdays, so a mixed group will not all pay the same.

One table, one sundeck, two paddleboards
Groups become groups at the table. All meals are served at one long outdoor table, with a candle-lit set-up for dinner, and the chef cooks in an open galley the group can watch. The lounge has a sofa, bar, TV and karaoke set, air-conditioned. The sundeck has bean bags, cushions and umbrellas.
Know the shortages. There are two stand-up paddleboards for the whole group, so queue them at Pink Beach. There is one tender, a Yamaha 40 hp speedboat, and landings happen in turns. The Wi-Fi is a local hotspot off mobile signal, with no satellite link, so a group chat works near Labuan Bajo and only in patches between islands. Plan the photo-sharing for the last night.
The crew is 7 people, which gives a ratio of 1 crew per 2.6 guests at full load. That is good for service and thin for supervising eighteen people on a steep climb. The guide leads the Padar and Komodo groups; keep your own group together.
Booking a group without a spreadsheet war
Appoint one person as the booker. The reservation is secured by a 50 percent deposit, and the balance falls due 30 days before sailing. Ask the desk about payments from several senders before you send anything, since the options are a card link, Wise, Revolut, PayPal (a fee of 7.2 percent), QRIS, Alipay and bank transfer.
Rescheduling is free with thirty days' notice. From fourteen to twenty-nine days the fee is IDR 500,000. Closer than that, we treat it as a cancellation. Cancellation refunds 50 percent at sixty days or more and 25 percent from thirty to fifty-nine. Tell the group before the deposit, not after.
If your group is below six, or members cannot agree on a date, the open trip may suit you better. If your group wants a party boat with a sound system and a late bar, we are the wrong boat.

FAQ
How many people can actually sleep on board?
The boat takes up to 18 guests, which means using extra beds. The price bands stop at fourteen; every guest above that adds IDR 5,000,000 (≈ USD 307) on 3D2N. Ask the desk to confirm the bed plan for your exact head count before you pay the deposit.
Can our group choose its own stops?
Not freely. The routes are fixed at 1D, 2D1N, 3D2N and 4D3N, and stops change for weather, currents and park or port decisions. On a private charter you can ask the desk about sequence and pace, but the captain decides on the day.
Does the price change in July and August?
The brochure lists one price per guest band and no seasonal supplement. Ask the desk whether your dates carry a peak-week condition before you pay the 50 percent deposit. Crowds are heavier at Padar and Pink Beach in July and August, whatever the price, and the calm months are April to June and October to November.
Can we split payment between friends?
Ask first. We accept card links, Wise, Revolut, PayPal, QRIS, Alipay and bank transfer, and the deposit is 50 percent. Whether several people can send parts of the same payment is the desk's call, and it is better asked before the first transfer.
Is there a speaker system for parties?
There is a karaoke set and a TV in the air-conditioned lounge. We do not describe the boat as a party venue, and loud late nights share the hull with sleeping guests in 6 cabins. If music is the trip, tell the desk.
